I read that in 1987-89 ,RM694 and RM927 were both owned by Don Knapp of Florida.
Isn't he dead now though ?
I last read however, in Aircraft Illustrated a couple of years back, that they had both been brought over to GB for rebuild by Tony Bianchi.
But what the real situation is now....who knows ?
But RM694 certainly deserves a better life, as it shot down a V1 in August 44.
It may well be the only extant Spitfire to have actually shot one down ?
