...the size of the wings, and the approximate positioning of the engine nacelles they may be the Martin built B-57 bombers. The B-57 is the American version of the Canberra and has large wings, especially the recon versions. It kind of looks like those.
Although I hope I am wrong and they are B-26s like you suggest! :-)
