Hi all,
Recently some aircraft parts were found in the IJsselmeer and given to our Foundation. It consists of the remains of two wheelwell doors with traces of black paint still visible. The insides of these doors are stiffened and also have several lightening holes, as well as one hinge and some sort of door lock made of pertinax.
So far I haven't been able to find any partnunmbers apart from two stamps in blue ink with the number P55...., of which I have no reference of regarding the manufacturer.
I spent most of the weekend looking into every possible aircraft type (Allied and Axis) to determine what type they could be from but apart from a Boston/Havoc I haven't found anything useful yet.
Does anyone of you have more information about this stamp?
Cheers
Cees
