The RAAF Museum's PR.XVI - NS631/A52-600 is a major rebuild project. The fuselage needs major work and the wings will need to be rebuilt entirely, including the production of a front and rear spar. Unless a wealthy benefactor wants to donate a substantial some of money and manpower to this project, given the curent projects at the Museum it's going to take approximately 12 years to complete. Then there is the official policy in the Museum Strategic Plan which restricts the flying of historic aircraft. The Museum must hold twp in its collection to be able to fly one. In the case of the Museum's Mustang, there is three in the collection!
Having said that, it would be very nice to hear and see two Merlins flying together in OZ!
