I notice that Personal Plane Services (PPS) have Kermit weeks MK XVI on their list of 'Aircraft Currently For Sale':
'Spitfire MK16 TE476
This aircraft was liberated from Gate Guardian duties at RAF Northolt in 1990. It was subsequently rebuilt to the most detailed and highest restoration standard of any Spitfire MK16 to date. All armour plating, radios, accessory systems, such as oxygen, IFF, armament is as authentic as possible and the true war time Spitfire appearance and handling qualities have been entirely reproduced. This aircraft is available for trades for Grumman Bearcat, Hurricane or Messerschmitt 109 (Daimler Benz).
Call for more details'
Bit strange that he wants to shed it already after going to the trouble of getting such an original restoration done?
Does anyone have any info on the two PPS MK XIV's also advertised along with the LFIX in this months Pilot magazine?
