Looking at the pictures of the DASA Buchon/109 makes me wonder about the nose contours.
As I understand the first rebuild was carried out by Williams Flugzeugbau in Germany. Photo's I saw showed that the nose was totally inaccurate and really looked awful. The second rebuild as far as I know used another airframe as a result of the former being unusable. The nose contours of this restoration look very accurate to me. The close up photographs however show that the various small nose-intakes are a bit crude.
Does anyone know if they used original parts for the second rebuild or did they make new ones. This is not meant to be nitpicking but I am just curious how they got it right the second time.
Dave/Lynn perhaps?
