Cave finds - again!

Sorry Lowell, misread your posting re Hahn airbase!
Just dug out my "Operation Sepulchre" anthology from TIGHAR
which in fact mentions more or less the same story (20
Fw 190 underground, accessible by a shaft). Investigations
have been carried out at Mainz-Finthen and Rothwesten (nr.
Kassel). From flicking through pages, no evidence of
underground facilities there, except for a rumour of
underground sealed doors at the latter airfield. What is
interesting about Lowell's mail is the reference to a
North German airfield; none of the above are that far north
that they would be subjected to maritime winds! Anybody
know any rumours from eg Wittmund or Leck?
I also did a search on the Internet starting with
"Berliner Unterwelten" (some pages are also in English).
The amount of associations and clubs in existence devoted
to the subject of underground facilities is mind-boggling
and so is the amount of facilities that they have explored.
This reinforces my opinion, that if anything will ever be
found then it is in those parts which are still bricked
and not presently inaccesible to the public due to
entrances being on non-public grounds!
Would be interesting in keeping this subject alive on
the board (it moved to the next page today where it
is rather invisible!)...!
