Messerschmitt Foundation

A number of posts appeared recently concerning the Messerschmitt foundation and there operation. I have always found it slightly puzzling about the way that they operate and their recent aquisitions have only added to this. It would seem that a great deal of effort has been put into making their aircraft both accurate and airworthy. The aircraft then bome more or less dormant and are locked away. I can understand this in the case of a private collector but it does seem a bit strange for a memorial organisation. I know that the Me109 can be a very tricky aeroplane to fly but none the less if they are never flown it is always going to be difficult to learn about its intricacies.

I think the original machine is currently on display in France but where is the ex Dittes machine and what is it doing at the moment ? Does anyone know if they have any plans to actually fly the ME 262 when it arrives ? If anyone else is out there from the foundation itself, I understand that there is a big pile of Me110 bits lying about left over from the static rebuild. Surely it would be another worthy project for such a foundation.
