Hi all,

Recently we were contacted by the RAF regarding their work on locating any recoverable Stirling wrecks.

Here's the text:

Dear Sir,

I am working with the RAF team that dived?Short Stirling LK925?in Norway which incidentally is not the "only" Stirling that we have dived. Our mission is to survey as many Stirling crash sites as possible.
?
I?saw your message posted on the internet?,?And?noted that your interest is in WWII aviation crash sites,?As we are backed by the RAF and in touch with other like minded?groups in Holland.?I would be interested to speak with you further particularly on the subject of RAF Short Stirlings Heavy Bomber crash sites .
?
If you have any information on Stirling crash sites i would be most interested.I thank you for your cooperation and look forward to hearing from you.
?
Regards

Martin?Willoughby??

The website of the RAF Sub Aqua club mentioned that they had about ten possible sites they wanted to investigate.

Does anyone know if what the status is on that?

Cheers

Cees
