I was looking through a second hand bookshop yesterday and saw a book (plastic binder) called something like 'Understanding Aircraft Blueprints'. It was from 1939/1940/1941 era and American. And looked like a text book for some sort of course. If anybody is interested, (it includes some 'sample blueprints' not of Whirlwind I am afraid), I can give you the name of the book store!
