Hi all,
The projects mentioned were actually listed in the Spitfire Survivors article in WW a few years back. Off the top of my head, I believe the Seafire is SW800, can't recall the i.d. of the Spits.
Regarding Richard's question of progress on 'Marion', well you probably would have seen on the webiste, that the wing leading edges have been trial fitted. As far as I know, most (if not all) of the ribs have already been restored here in 'Oz, so the wings just need to be assembled. Having said that, it's still a fairly involved job that they have to do.
The Merlin has been overhauled, and is at their workshop. As far as I know, their estimated time of completion is at the end of the year. Although this is later than the speculated April flight, it will still be a push (in my opinion), to get it finished by then. Here's hoping that they do though. Have never met Peter Croser, but I know that Mike Aitchison is a great guy, so they deserve the reward of their efforts.
Cheers,
Matt
