I have no information about Japanese aircraft in India, but I do know that there are strong rumours about British warbirds in India.
For instance there are several Tempest II's that were present in the early eighties (not meaning those that were recovered by Doug Arnold) but some 5 or 6 examples seem to have dissapeared (there was also an article in WWW). Apart from that there have also been rumours that several more Spitfire XVIII's were in use as instructional airframes at several locations in India.
As recent as the recovery of the BoB Hurricane from India, who knows what more (Japanese or Allied) may be lurking there.
Perhaps Jagan can fill us in with more recent information on this.
