The P-39 wing section came from Russia along with many other parts, recovered by the Alpine Fighter Group. The parts were purchased by TFC to help with rebuild of the P-39 at Chino. The wing section was of interest because of the fact that it bore traces of at least four British roundels which could have meant it was an ex-Duxford aircraft. The wing section was put on display in the Essex Aviation Group Museum until it was forced to close by the IWM.
