I will look into the sparsection of the Typhoon leg and let you know. Unfortunately I won't be going to the museum this coming saturday but the next after that, but I will let you know.
The Typhoon I am referring to is the one flown by Flying Officer Johnson (from memory) he crashed his Typhoon into the banks of the Mooie Nel, a small lake near Haarlem middle 1943. It is now a recreational nature reserve. Funny thing is that the aircraft technically came down on land, but over the years this part has washed away and is now the middle of the lake. At about 15 metres it is quite deep. We have to find out if the remains of the aircraft ended up on the bottom (provided the wreck wasn't recovered) when the soil washed away. I have the full story of the aircraft in case you are interested.
