a) The chaps doing the Tempest in Lincolnshire have a good relationship with the RAF Museum who lend them bits to copy from NV778 so they can make bits for their own bird. They also supply bits back to the RAF Museum..
They also have the old Jim Peace IL-2 bits 'effectively have parts for three of these flying tanks'. They are going to restore these next (after the Tempest). They will produce 'one to static musuem standard and one to fly'
Now putting two and two together.....
