That's almost enough information to make me take this reported F4U off of the survivors listing. THat kind of mixup makes sense to me.
The only problem I have is that the identity of this plane that crept into my records is specifically referred to as "BuNo.14682-KD251", making it a RNFAA aircraft. Unfortunately RNFAA records show "no information" in regard to KD251. I somewhat doubt this plane still exists - especially in Thailand, but I still have to go through the standard nonsense and double checking before I toss it to the wind :)
