The very same aircraft. From what I understand the pilot got hit by flak attacking a train on the line you can see on the map, to the left of the aerodrome. He didn't have an awful lot of time after getting hit to ditch , but I believe he got out ok (I hope) With the exception of the one in St. Helier harbour (I think) I'm not too sure about other Whirlwind ditchings, so any help greatly appreciated. Mick did find a very good candidate, but we think the pilot is still in it, so not so good. That location is pretty shallow, and eminently diveable. It may be justified, simply to find out if the poor pilot is still in it
