Dh 103 Hornet and the Westland Whirlwind, P-51B to the list?

As regards Hornets, have to be a very good replica, as for whirlwinds, several down off the coast of the UK and the channel islands, as well as 2 examples about 15-20 feet down near Pendrannack. I spoke to an RAF MU guy about these last month. Unfortunately, one still contains the pilot, and on a more gruesome note, all they recovered of him at the time, was his right hand and watch. The soil around there, is essentially soft bog, and the recovery vehicles were getting bogged down. In those days, there just wasn't time to pump and drain for a recovery. On the second crash, the aircraft, the Pilot bailed out, and the aircraft literaaly glided in itself into a soft marsh area, and promptly sank. They asked the pilot where, he said "Well bloody hell, it was there half an hour ago" -lol

The chap involved, now lives in Australia, but has pretty well identified the area, except recovery will be a nightmare. Still, if they want to give me a Spitfire for it..... :)

..and me and Mick did identify a very good candidate Mustang, but I think we want that for something else don't we Mickoy me old mucker?
