First have all have you tried searching specialist online book vendors?
There are quite a few technical or otherwise old & new book sites out there which have search facilities and maintain databases for numorous book vendors. Their databases are regularly updated. eg abebooks.com, alibris.
Also look up old/used book vendors for german sites, quite a few are in english allowing you to perform searches also.
I was recently looking for a set of five old russian (translated) mechanical engineering textbooks and located two of the volumes in Melbourne and three in Spain!! Fantastic.
I have also bought a lot of old 1930's aeroengineering books on Ebay uk over the years, might be worthwile checking out the german sites too.
