Well you asked for it,

The first thing that stands out is the news item on Spitfire Mk.XIV RN201 and its engines runs on March 14th at Duxford. So Flypast gets one up on the WIX this month then - lol
Does look very smart in its post-war air racing colour scheme of 41 Squadron, silver with red trim. Very similar to Mk.XVI TD248
April 3rd is the provisional post restoration flight date - so another Spit on the flightline at Legends this year then - excellent.
It will be operated by Arco on behalf of Historic Flying
The article then goes on to talk about a new telemetry fit-out in RN201 that monitors engine and flight data to assist the engineering team (the shape of things to come maybe).

And another Griffin moment
RNHF Firefly was ground run on 27th Feb and is due to take to the air sometime in early April.

Very good article on the Tempest, but there article that caught my attention was the one on the restoration to airworthiness of Tempest Mk.II MW798 G-TEMT currently on rebuild in Lincolnshire. Possibly flying next year !!
Tis group also have Ilyushin Il-2's G-BZVW and G-BZVX currently in storage awaiting their turn at rebuild, one static and the other airworthy - can't wait to see the Tempest and the Shturmovik flying in formation, Hmm nice

The UK Jet survey is OK, but not my thang I'm afraid

Hope this is of interest

John
