DH Hornet plans/rumours?

Hi all,

For many years now there are rumours/stories about plans to rebuild a DH Hornet or building a reproduction. Some years ago there was an article in Aeroplane about the wreck of a Hornet which had been found in Canada, there was also a photograph showing the relatively substantial remains. In WWW there were also rumours about plans to reconstruct one.

What is true about any plans to recontruct a Hornet and what happened to the Canadian remains and more important is the question, is it possible?

Recently a Merlin 100-series was advertised in FlyPast. Of course you need two of those, are there any more around, what about drawings, availability of parts etc.
