Phil Dear (of Jackson, Mississippi I believe) was a warbird owner during the late-70's/early-80's. I'm trying to find out more about this man and his involvement with warbirds in general. Any interesting stories or facts? Is there anyone here who knew the man personally?
I'm also trying to determine what year it was during the mid-1980's that he passed away. Is there any chance he was involved in a warbird crash rather than dying of natural causes?
*As a note: I apologize for all the posts regarding people who have been killed in plane crashes, or otherwise lost their lives. The hardest information to find is usually the result of not being able to contact owners directly involved with an aircraft during a particular point in time. Alot of the gaps in my recorded histories revolve around times when warbird owners passed away, or could otherwise no longer be contacted. This is just so you understand my research is not taking some twisted turn for the morbid ;)
