1933-45 aircraft gun photos

Posted by Tony Williams on Sat Mar 23, 2002 12:29:08 AM

This is a final appeal for any photos which can be used (with copyright permission) in a forthcoming book on the development of aircraft gun armament.

I am particularly looking for photos which show details of the gun installation. Close-ups of the weapons in flexible mountings or turrets, or in fixed installations (preferably with the hatches open, e.g. for reloading) would be ideal. Good museum photos are acceptable as well as contemporary ones.

The weapons of all nations are to be included, not just the WW2 combatants.

The source of any photos used will be acknowledged in the book, and any costs met.
