If you look at the attrition rate of aircraft between 1943 and 1969 it is appalling. Warbird operators have come along way in the last 30 odd years. With such few types flying it is amazing the record of accident free flying that has taken place. I am sure this incident could have been much worse and is no way a reflection of the CAF. Accidents happen with aircraft, lets be thankful that both will recover in time.
