I was going through some photos I took at Flabob airport back in the middle 80's. Erik used to keep his Starduster in Bill Turner's hangar. I asked Bill who would paint a Flying Tiger insignia on a yellow biplane and he grinned and said Erik Shilling. I never met him...but I have read many of his accounts of flying. Blue Skies!
