Over the years I've heard countless 'buried' stories -- too many for some NOT to be true. The problem is, in many cases that it is impractical to search or dig (no landowner permission or a motorway straight over the top of where the stuff is supposedly buried.... so it is hard to come up with anything concrete (forgive the pun).
I was told by a local in Watton that the USAAF had buried tons of stuff at the 352nd FG base at Bodney before they left.......
And I've often wondered if it is still there. Would a magnetometer show it up I wonder?
