Hello all.
This Mustang (A68-126)was pulled out of the lake by the RAAF salvage unit on the 18th September 1951. It was very intact missing only prop & canopy.
It was stored at Rathmines Flying Boat Base untill the base was closed, whereupon the aircraft was apparently scrapped.
Who knows,...scrapped aircraft have a bit of a habit of turning up again here?
