Rotax starter

The starter on my ex-SAAF T-6 decided to take 'early retirement'. Upon removing the starter, I was surprised to find it is a Rotax model 37F; type C1253, rather than the standard Bendix 915. I have called around to a few shops here in the US and they are not familiar with this starter. I suspect some of our British friends are. The thing that is disturbing is that the motor works just fine, but the starter is slipping and popping back instead of turning the prop through compression stroke. I am wondering if it is broken or just requires some sort of adjustment. Anybody know? Or, anybody know where to get it repaired? It is a nifty starter, direct crank and strong as on ox. I'd love to get it back running...
