We stand to lose enough to make it worth saving David. I have had my reply from the Planning people...all is not lost. There is an excellent Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge which occuppies the former watch office and other buildings. There are brandnew houses who are only 1ft from the fence of this museum. Some blast pen parts/base of old hangars etc are under threat (which Damien did not show) which could be absorbed into the museum. It would be a travesty if the airfield was lost completely and the excellent museum surrounded on all sides by housing permitted by an uncaring government.
It is sad when I compare what is at Hawkinge now to what was there just 10 years ago
regards and keep sending in letters to the planners
