I know personally, I have a hard time keeping track of all the discoveries. With so much new information coming about, and discussions taking place, it can be confusing at times to keep all the information organized.
I have been thinking about creating a web-based database for this for quite some time. If there is enough interest, I would be willing to create one as an extension to the database I'm currently using on my website. The following are a few of my thoughts on how it would work.
Contributors to the database would be given a user name and password, and would be able to add new information and edit existing information. Only the person who originally added the information would have direct editing ability of the information in the database. If somebody else has some information to add, that information will be submitted to the originator of the information for approval to be included in the final results. The end result would be a worldwide collaboration of information.
No, the big question is, do we make this information available to everybody, or only to subscribers of the database? Should the information be freely viewable?
I could make the database entirely searchable to make information easily available.
I'd be interested any hearing any thoughts or ideas.
Best regards,
Tom Royal
