I think it would be a great if that the discoveries and other information collected here be included in the registry. For example a "new" Spitfire is found on the bottom of a lake someplace, it gets listed in the registry as unrecovered. However, I suspect that Scott is kept very busy including new types in the registry, not to mention the challenge of keeping the types already listed up-to-date. Just recently I was thinking how it would benefit the registry and WIX if there was a system like the one used by Scramble for their military aircraft databases. Each service's database in Scramble has a correspondent that manages the new data coming in from users. Maybe something like this would work for the different types in the registry and wreck locations. I have no idea how this would be implemented in software. I am a software guy, but have no experience in html or internet stuff.
Just a thought. Has anyone else thought of something like this?
