Briefing Time-combat vet????

I recently saw a story about the B-25J Briefing Time again
portraying her has a combat vet of the MTO with over 100
missions and the sinking of a Italian Cruiser to her credit.
I though this was settled a long ago and the airplane is not
the original. Why do they keep pushing this misleading info?? I mean I wish our B-25 44-86725 was a combat vet, but simply put-IT ISN'T.
