without reading what other replies you hav had about this subject,I agree with your thoughts on some of the current owners.This is based on experiance gained through the years whilst being ground crew and a aircraft marshaller at some of the warbird airshows.
3 years ago during one show at Kemble I met a person who had just piloted a 'warbird'in and unfortunatly the english dictionary does not have a discription for him,even other pilots were disgusted at his "I'm up here and your down there "attitude.
It was pointed out to him much to his disgust by a CAA official that if it had not been for 'US'on the ground he would have damaged another aircraft along with his own by the way he had taxied in!
Well said mick but as you know it does not mean all owners are the same it is unfortunate that there is always one bad apple in the box.
