In this months Aeroplane there are two photos and text something like this. There were, I quote '... hundreds of combat aircraft flown to Chino for disposal, most meeting their end in portable smelters. But many parts were simply buried and thousands of them have now emerged, including stainless steel exhaust shrouds armour plate... etc etc' but don't get your hopes up of finding a complete a/c it just sounds like lots of parts buried in pits as on other US bases at the end of hostilities.
