I think most of you know why I think it is so expensive. There are other contributors/lurkers on this board, who had an active part in raising the wee beastie, and they tell a similar story, to the one I thought. There was even an article on the web, that dealt with all the back-stabbing, lies, deceit and introduction of Moscow based "business partners" , that have all contributed to the price of this airframe going up andup.

There are some very very terminally stupid people out there, who really believe this is a 6 month restoration, and the aircraft is worth every penny they ask for it. Why the Finnish government, haven't issued a formal demand for their property back, I really have no idea.

It is not worth half of what they are asking. I would base an estimated value, bearing in mind there are some ridiculous prices being asked...3,000,000 dollar 109's springs to mind, at round about 1.75 million. I am not a restorer, or sales guy, I am looking at it, in a coldly analytical way. 1.75 + another million to restore, I don't know, what do u think Tom? 4 mil, should be the price of a restored pristine and airworthy example with spares.

It would be nice to have Carl-Frederick Geust's view on this as well.

Before anyone inviolved with this airframe says "What do your comments matter, you're not a potential customer.."
No, I am not, and believe me, I am not the only potential non-customer if u keep asking silly silly money for that.
Does anyone know the current state of this airframe actually? It was sitting out in Salt air in Ireland for a long time, I wonder what has been done to inhibit the airframe?

Tony
