I can remember an article in Flypast from just before the Pearl Harbor filming and in the text there was something about the brakes being replaced with Kingcobra units which made it much better on the ground. As for the landing accident I recall hearing that one of the legs failed to lock in the down position properly and collapsed on landing leaving a very bent prop, it was in TFC's hangar at Legends that year, and I was hoping to see it flying, oh well. I could be wrong on these points but we know that Mr Hinton browses the WIX so if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.
