Although perhaps not to be seen as a shining example of a warbird restorer, it is perhaps important to remember that much of Bob's work dated back to the 1960's - when he was one of the four or five Canadians who where out actually preserving warbirds. It has to be said his heart was in the right place and certainly ahead of his time.

I hope one day there will be proper recognition for those who were preserving warbirds before it was in vogue. Ed Maloney certainly comes to mind as do many others. Without these 'founding fathers' we all would have much less to admire and work with today.
