Not really just a couple of hours away, but if you can, you should visit the Canadian AF Museum in Trenton; they have a superb exhibit and many airplanes outside; plus, they are restoring the Halifax there.

South of Montreal, on the Richelieu river, there are several towns with airports that handle military traffic, and there are gate guardians all over. St.Jean-sur-Richelieu was one of them. St. Hubert, also South of Montreal, has an interesting assortment of aircraft, it is my understanding they are used to shoot movies.

Kingston, (SE Ontario province) is a beautiful city, with the military academy museum there. An F-86 (canadian version) is on a pole by the lake.

Civilian airport in Kingston also has a Harvard in a very sorry shape, on display.

There are other displays, museums and aircraft, but not really closer than 100 miles, as far as I found out.

Saludos!
