Your Yak queries.
#1 - This Yak 3 I understand to be an Yak 3 c/n 115450123 and reportedly on loan from the Yakovlev OKB Museum in Moscow.
#2 - This is thought to be Let C-11 No 171304 - No civil registration. Since your visit it has now been smartened up somewhat and was out on the ramp in 9/00.

: I am trying to ID two Yak survivors.
:
: Survivor #1:
: Model: Yakovlev Yak-3
: Spotted: Museum of Flying in December 1997
: Description: Hanging from the ceiling on the first level,
: dark green paint scheme, Russian AF red star, no other ma
: rkings visible
:
: There is a Yak-3 registered to the Museum of Flying, it is
: a Yak-3M c/n 0470101 c/r NX854DP. Is this the same airfr
: ame?
:
: As I understand the Museum of Flying was somehow involved
: with the restart of construction of new airframes. What is
: the official designation for the new airframes is it Yak-
: 3UA or Yak-3M?
:

: Question #2:
: Model: Yakovlev Yak-11
: Spotted: Planes of Fame in December 1997
: Description: I spotted this one in the "back yard" of the
: museum. It looked like it had been stored outside for so
: me time as the paint was faded. The prop was missing as w
: ell. It was mainly dark green. The front edge of the cow
: l was yellow and the top tip of the tail was yellow. Ther
: e was red stars on the fuselage and tail, and "11" on the
: fuselage.
:
: Any idea what the ID of this one is?
:
:
: I have emailed the Museum of Flying and left a message on
: the Planes of Fame discussion board, but have no results.
: I bet there is some visiting WIX that has the info!
:
: Regards,
