Looks like the BBMF are privatising the majors on Spitfires.

Well according to an advert in this months Flypast. The MoD have put an ad out looking at possibly putting a Major Maintenance Contract on a Spitfire to tender. They want interested parties.. to contact them. They say there maybe two more Spitfires in the future..

Couple of questions apart from the Hurricane rebuild have the MoD privatised any major work before? Do ya think in the bean counting 21st century that they expect St. Athan to respond as well? BTW St. Athan you will be immediately 17.5% cheaper (no VAT!)
