It would certainly be very nice to rebuild a Defiant or Typhoon. The problem is that there aren't any available (or the RAFM must get into serious financial difficulties). If possible they would be very much like new-built aircraft. Apart from that what about the spares-situation. The Merlin should be not that much of a problem but the Sabre (how tempting it will be) wil be almost impossible. IMHO the only restorable Sabres are already with Kermit Weeks and I wonder if he is going to fly his Tempest (hope he does though).
Just like you I am curious what Mr Grey has to say about it.
