You all know my special interest - and I guess kiwi dave will back me up on this one. ;-)
Can we get one of the Arado 66 wrecks stored in Norway? There's no finished restored Ar 66 preserved anywhere today, so it would be a unique aircraft and a great contribution to the preservation scene!
Otherwise a B?cker 131 (CASA 1.131) would be a viable option, much cheaper than a Texan would be both to aquire and operate.

: Ok, having trashed it out a bit more, the idea is thus..
:
: We find a warbird, but 2 riders... We NEVER go for somethi
: ng that can't be afforded, in other words NO reliance on o
: utside finance. 2. We NEVER recover anything we can't affo
: rd to restore. Where the aircraft is going to be based, is
: a discussion best left to a later date, lets see if we ca
: n organise the mythical p**s up in a brewery first. At the
: moment, the mood is for a warbird, that members can fly i
: n, so T-6 AC-47 etc. However if the syndicate gains moment
: um then other types will be considered.
: The idea is, to contribute as much or as little as you wan
: t to, everyone has a share of "their warbird" Important is
: sues, will always be put to a vote, that includes final ch
: oice of airframe.
: There are no owners. The holding company, or trust owns th
: e aircratf. As per a "proper" company, accounts will be vi
: sible and transparent, to preclude any arguments.
:
: The sole purpose of this syndicate, isnot to make money, b
: ut it isn't to lose money either. It is there, to keep a b
: ird flying and cared for, and at the end of the day, it wi
: ll make u a warbird owner, and doing your bit for preserva
: tion, not just whingeing about owning one, or having a dre
: am. The bigger the syndicate is, then the more dreams that
: can be realised.
:
: Forget 6 owner syndicates. The aircraft will be available
: for you to fly in, if u pay the agreed cost flying hour, s
: imple as that. We will find an aircraft, rescue it, or pur
: case it, restore it etc. You will own a living breathing p
: iece of history, and you will know , that your contributio
: n made it happen.
:
: Paul, re. NZ, yes please, as soon as u can if possible, or
: if KiwiDave or Graham can input?
:
: Tony :0)
: (Lets do it, not talk about it)
