The Waco was designated PT-14 by the USAAF...used heavily in the Civilian Pilot Training program. Back in my hangar rat days I used to wash an old PT for rides, she was cleverly disguised as a UPF-7 ;) we later tore this airplane apart and did a ground up restoration. She still had the USAAF data plate in the rear cockpit. These grand birds fly like big fun trucks! Joe M sold this a/c a few years ago and I belive she resides in Idaho. NC164 ...great memories!!!
