Off the vintage forum .....
"Ah well so it ends. I have spent the last two months on and off on
the bottom of the Sound of Mull excavating a 16th Century warship and
I check my web site and there is yet another insult.
divetheworld.com was set up, at my own expense and time, so that
others could see what Sea-Tech Exploration Ltd was up to and where we
get to. This message below is just the last of the ones from some
armchair numbnuts jerk I am prepared to tolerate. Yawn, I thought we
did the PB4Y story to death a long time ago.
I have never made any claim to be an aviation expert I am the senior
instructor of a diving company that has been involved in the location
and excavation of a lot of aircraft. I am also a Maritime
Archaeologist who will be campaigning to get the remains of missing
airman repatriated but thats all.
I thought people would be interested in what we get up to but I am
fed with putting my spare time up so that I can get insults so when I
return home from Mull I will be pulling the site.
We will still be going on and all our photographs and research will
be placed with the Imperial War Museum at Duxford (I will mail a
contact) so if you want to find out about us that is where you will
have to go. Mick didn't even have the courtesy to leave his email
address in the guestbook either. If anyone was wondering why the
sonar picture is still there it's because I have a life outside the
web site and the site was set up in my spare time.

Steve

Comments: Can you please explain once and for all why you are still
refering to that sonar pic as an unknown type of bomber ?
IT IS NOT an unknown bomber, IT IS a PB4Y-2 Privateer in Lake
Washington.
I have previously identified it myself and there is NO MISTAKE
WHATSOEVER.
The sonar pic has come off another site, where it has been fully
identified.
It appears to have short wings because the picture is distorted.
Of course, if you really knew anything about aircraft you would know
what type of aircraft it is, but you very obviously don't know the
first thing about being able to recognise a particular aircraft type.
Please update your website accordingly as you are just showing
yourselves up as idiots with no knowledge.
If you don't believe me then I challenge you to prove me wrong, which
will be impossible because I know I am right.
