I was told by one of the people on that dig that the archaeologist was carefully excavating the bullets as she was under the impression they had lain there since 1940. It took a long time, anyway a bit later on one of the people who had checked out the site previously told her they had dug them up with a detector several months before and thrown aside.... She was not at all happy!!!
