Yep, that is what I heard also. IIRC, and it has been a dozen years since I saw the picture, it looked like the thing was being flown in an extremely nose high position, I cannot remember if the photo I saw showed it on take off or actually in the pattern, but it looked dang scary :)
I too have heard that it had been sold and somone was working on it again. This is one that can stay locked in the hangar as far as I am concerned :)
