Unless you want to spend a few days looking through Spitfire the illustrated history or fancy a trip down to Kew we ain't going to find this Spitfire in the short term. I have exhausted ALL my sources.. The first thing to do is find what Squadrons were in this part of Austria in early 45. The trouble is the lake seems a long way from any bases listed in Jefford! What would the range be??
