I guess for the time being, we will just have to be content with the FG-1D on the pedestal at the Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, Connecticut, which was repainted into the 'Lulubelle' livery in the late 90s.
The CAF Corsair was painted in the colours of '883', prior to it's major refurbishment in 1980-81. This of course was displayed as Bu 17883, one of the F4U-1A Corsair's Greg Boyington did fly, along with his VMF-214 wingman, Robert W. McClurg, while operating in the South Pacific.
