COGEA was a Belgian company who supplied target towing services for the Belgian armed services (the company might have had other specialities, but I don't know about that). The expansion of the name was something like Compagnie Generale d'Expeditions Aerien (the 1st two words *are* correct !).
In the late 50s they operated 6 (?) Spitfire 9s on this work - some, at least, being ex-Dutch, IIRC. The Spitfires were sold, and, in the 60s, at least one of them came onto the UK register (G-ASJT?). The replacements were some Meteor NF11s.
