How many feet in one minute?

What is the scale of this photo? The green crosshair is about 20 pixels across. A Corsair has about a 40 foot wingspan. If the size of a Corsair to scale in this photo was 3 pixels in span, it would be nearly impossible (even for Tony) to distinguish because of the resolution. If the span was 15 pixels, then you might have an argument.

I also doubt that a survey of the crash site was performed, so maybe the location is only approximate. They may have pinpointed the position with aerial photography at the time of the crash, so the location could be somewhat more accurate, but don't forget that this was before GPS, and in hostile territory.
